Attorney Marc Karlin is the managing partner at Karlin & Karlin, APLC. He practices throughout Southern California in the areas of personal injury law, medical malpractice, and business litigation. Since September 2012, Mr. Karlin has secured settlements and awards in excess of 8 million dollars for his clients.
Born, raised, and educated in Southern California, I began my legal career working for insurance companies. A few years after I graduated from law school, my mother, who at the time was employed as a registered nurse at the Kaiser Hospital in Los Angeles, was injured by medical negligence while undergoing gallbladder surgery. She brought a medical malpractice claim against her Kaiser healthcare providers, and I assisted in bringing her claim to a successful conclusion.
Shortly thereafter, I joined my forces with my late father, Philip Karlin, a certified immigration specialist, to form Karlin & Karlin. Since that time, I have focused my practice on representing persons who have been injured by medical negligence, as well as those injured in automobile, bicycle, truck, and motorcycle accidents. In addition, I represent the surviving family members of wrongful death victims.
The commitment to giving back to the legal profession and my community was handed down to me by my father and is part of my DNA. I am proud to be an active member of both the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA) and the California Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC). I am honored to support Big Sunday and the Colburn School. And, my firm provides pro bono legal services to many charitable organizations and causes, including Homeboy Industries, founded by one of my Loyola High School instructors and longtime friend, Fr. Greg Boyle.
